Virginia’s Obituary Virginia Rostad, 71, Towner, ND, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2019, in a Minot, ND care center. Virginia Marie Rostad was born December 12, 1947, the daughter of Anton and Adella (Slocum) Rostad in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating from Minot High School in 1965.

She then received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education from UND. Virginia taught for two years in Valentine, NE then moved to Towner, ND, where she taught for an additional three years. She then operated Northside Greenhouse while also working as a bookkeeper at GN Development in Towner.

Most recently, Virginia worked for Tri County Senior Meals and the McHenry County Park District. She returned to Minot in January of this year. Virginia loved the story of Jesus.

She enjoyed painting, photography, quilting, card making, reading and gardening. Surviving Family Includes: Sister, Sharon Rostad, Mt. Sterling, IL; and numerous cousins and friends.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral: Friday, March 22, 2019, at 1:00 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND. Interment: Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot, ND.

Visitation: Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home, Minot, ND.
