Danny’s Obituary On Sunday, February 3, 2019, Danny A. Kemmit, loving husband, father of three, grandfather of three and beloved friend passed away unexpectedly at the age of 55. Danny was born July 17, 1963 in Minot, ND to Gerald (Jerry) and Sharon Kemmit. Danny spent his youth in Minot, Surrey, and Washburn, where for worked as a trucker for his father’s company GK Trucking.

He also worked for many local trucking and construction companies, as an oil field safety technician, and most recently with Rosen’s Distribution. Danny was a proud graduate of the NDSCS machinist program. He married Tamyra L. McEwin on December 14, 1991 and together they raised two sons, Joseph and Matthew, one daughter, Katelyn, as well as two unofficially adopted children Michael and Deseree.

Danny was a proud advocate, supporter, and volunteer for many local charities which focused on supporting veterans, active duty service members, children, and cancer research. He was also a passionate outdoorsman; his favorite hobby being fishing with his grandchildren. Danny was an avid supporter and fan of various local live musicians, he loved music and he loved sharing it with others.

He was best known for his unwavering honesty, incredible work ethic, unique sense of humor, and strong moral fiber. He is preceded in death by his father Gerald, and his paternal grandparents Albert and Lenore Kemmit and maternal grandparents Oscar and Alvina Hansen. He is survived by: His mother, Sharon; wife, Tamyra; children, Joseph (Natalia) Kemmit, Fargo, Matthew Kemmit (Hannah Rovegno), East Grand Forks, MN and Katelyn (Robert) Hawkins, Minot; siblings, Mark (Ronda), Tammy and Jay, all of Minot; grandchildren, Stacey, Aleigha, and Jayce; as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial Service: Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Hope Lutheran Church, Surrey, ND. Signing of the Guestbook: One hour prior to the service at the church.
