Julia’s Obituary Julia Kremer, 89, Rugby, formerly of Velva, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2019 at a Rugby hospital. Julia was born on July 10, 1929 in Orrin, North Dakota, to Felix and Katherine (Schmaltz) Bachmeier. She was raised and educated in Orrin, graduating from Orrin High School.

On July 12, 1948 she married Peter Kremer in Orrin. They moved to Velva, where they were blessed with four children, Larry, Hilda, Allan, and Kenneth. For many years Julia worked as a waitress for the Velva Café.

In 2005, they moved to Rugby. Peter passed away on November 17, 2007. Julia loved playing card games, especially pinochle and cribbage.

She loved telling and laughing at jokes. Julia is survived by her children: Larry (Maxine) Kremer of Stanton, ND, Hilda (Tom) Hall of Pittsfield, MA, Allan (Toni) Kremer of Sawyer, ND, and Kenneth (Theresa) Kremer of Norwich, ND; 12 grandchildren: Eric Kremer, Shelly Kremer, Joey (Deańe) Amuso, Angela (Rico) Capparelli, Sarah (Bill) Baumann, Kristen (Diego) Pinilla, Jess (Nathan) Dicks, Blaine (Megan) Kremer, Brooke (Mat) Keller, Shadd Kremer, Scott (Diane) Hall, and Stacy Vasta; 19 great- grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren; seven sisters: Helen, Millie, Esther, Adeline, Carrie, Gertrude, and Janice; two brothers, Louie and Gabe; her best buddy Mary Schneider; and many nieces nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Peter; brothers: Jack and Casper; and sisters: Eva, Dorothy, and Magdeline.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Velva. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. with a Rosary Prayer Service at 7 p.m. at Thompson-Larson Funeral Home in Minot. Burial will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Velva at a later date.
