James “Jim”‘s Obituary James “Jim” Timothy McIntyre was born April 6, 1958 in Kenmare ND to Kenneth and Ardelle (Dihle) McIntyre. He died February 6, 2019 in his home in Woodville, WI of natural causes. He attended school in Bowbells and graduated in 1977 from Bowbells High School.

During his high school years he worked various jobs. He worked for McIntyre Ford, Eddy Peterson Farm and Wayne Mahlum Implement. After graduation, Jim moved to Williston where he was employed as a mechanic.

His boss loved him because he could get a job done in half the time, and it was done right. Jim moved back to Bowbells in the late 80s and worked in Louisiana as a mechanic for Fairfield Industries Seismograph Co., Barton Melby Farms and for Tim Rasmusson siding houses. Jim moved to St. Paul and then to Woodville, WI.

In MN and WI he also worked at various jobs. He was a mechanic, working on automatic transmissions, Granite/Marble worker and welder and most recently he was employed with TriStar tearing down motors to be rebuilt. Every job he did, he did with pride and expertise.

He wasn’t satisfied until it was perfect. His passion was for his vehicles, especially his Mustangs and Harley Davidson motorcycles. Jim was an excellent mechanic and it showed when he worked on Kenny’s D50 pickups and old tractors.

He also wouldn’t miss a trip to Stanley for a Whirl-a-whip when he was home. Jim also enjoyed deer hunting with his dad and brothers growing up. Jim was once married to Gae Aufforth.

He is survived by his mother Ardelle, brothers Jerry (Brenda) and Jon. Sisters Cindy (Doug) Winzenburg and Kari (Tim) Rasmusson. Niece Casey (Preston) Sandberg, nephews Ryan (Samantha) Rasmusson, Daniel and Douglas Winzenburg, Jacob, Erik and Adam McIntyre.

Great nieces Emma and Hannah Sandberg, great nephews Weslee Sandberg and Lincoln Rasmusson. Jim is preceded in death by his father Kenneth, Grandparents and niece Kalli Jo Winzenburg. There will be a graveside service in the spring.
