Born April 9, 1932 in Danville, VA, she was the daughter of the late Cleophus George Burton, Sr. and Vina Smith Burton. Survivors include one daughter, Sherone Chaney of Danville, VA; one son, Carl L. Chaney of Danville, VA; two sisters, Alice Nell Bass and Inez Brandon both of Danville, VA and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Delores D. Burton and Mattie Burton; two brothers, Cleophus Burton, Jr. and Louis Burton. The family will receive friends at the residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, February 4, 2019 at 11 AM from Jones Chapel Missionary Baptist Church with Rev.

Brud Perry, Eulogist. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. Fisher and Watkins Funeral Home is assisting the Chaney family.
