Wanda Carter Ewing, 63, of Judsonia, passed away June 18, 2018 at Unity Health in Searcy. She was born October 11, 1954 at Amarillo, Texas to Ramon Lewis Carter and Sally Willis Putnam. Mrs. Ewing attended Golden High School in Golden, Colorado where she grew up with her oldest brother and four sisters.

She was a hard working mother, gentle soul with a kindred spirit who was a good friend to many and will be remembered for her great sense of humor. Above all else, she cherished her time with her grandchildren, who were her world. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by a step mother, Betty Carter; two sisters, Betty Lynn Welch and Mary Lou Tidwell; and one brother, John Henry Putnam.

She married Kenny Ewing Sr. December 15, 1974 at Augusta, Arkansas; he survives. She is also survived by three sons, Jeffry Carter (Carolyn) of Houston, Texas, Kenny Ewing Jr., and Jeromy Ewing both of Judsonia; one daughter, Amanda Rae King of Judsonia; four grandchildren, Rachel Vestal, Abigail King, Jade Carter, and Jasper King; one brother, Ramon Lewis Carter of Stafford, Virginia; four sisters, Kathleen O’Halloran Holdash of Flowery Branch, Georgia, Karen Hughes and Susyn Carter both of Arvada, Colorado, and Dee Putnam of Louisiana; her father, Ramon Carter of Arvada, Colorado; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Memorial services will be planned at a later date by the family.
