Warren W. Curington, 77, a longtime resident of the Birkenfeld community, died Saturday evening, November 3, 2018 at the Community Home Health and Hospice in Longview, Washington. Private Interment will follow at the Fishhawk Cemetery in Birkenfeld, Oregon. WARREN WILLIAM CURINGTON was born July 30, 1941 in Astoria, Oregon, the son of the late Harold Curington and Mable (Washenberger) Curington.

He and his family later lived in the communities of Cannon Beach, Oregon; Vernonia, Oregon and Oregon City, Oregon, until 1954 when they moved Orange, California. He served for thirty-three years in the United States Army/National Guard, until he received honorable discharge. Warren was united in marriage to Dianna L. Glisson on October 6, 1997 in Riverside, California.

They celebrated their 21st Wedding Anniversary this past October. Following their marriage they made their home in Norco, California, until 1999, when they moved to the Birkenfeld community, where they have resided since. He had worked as a truck driver for Cal Motors Trucking Company and then for Thrifty/Rite Aide Pharmacy, until 1999, when he retired.

They moved to Oregon in 1999, settling in the Birkenfeld community, where they have resided since. After moving to the Birkenfeld community, Warren drove school bus for Laidlaw (Mid Columbia) Transportation in Forest Grove from 2000 to 2008 and then for the Clatskanie School District for four years. Among his special interests, he enjoyed collecting coffee cups, steins and belt buckles.

Warren also loved caring for his dog, “Buttercup”, his chocolate Lab. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Mable Curington. Survivors include his wife, Diana Curington, of the family home in Birkenfeld, Oregon; his brother, Edward Curington, of Norco, California; his sister-in-law, Stacia Beam, of Birkenfeld, Oregon and his brothers-in-law, Linwood Glisson and his fiancee’, Billie Jean, of Temple, Texas and Kirk and Juana Glisson, of Terrebonne, Oregon.

Also surviving are his three nieces and three nephews, including Kirk Daniel Glisson and Jordan Douglas Glisson, both of Terrebonne, Oregon. The family suggests that remembrances may be contributions to the Oregon Humane Society, 1067 N.E. Columbia Blvd. , Portland, Oregon 97211, in his memory.
