Obituary for Wayne English Wayne Charles English, of Easthampton, MA, passed away August 1, 2018 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. Born in Pittsfield on June 3, 1953, the son of Donald and Rita Doucette English, he was a 1971 graduate of Pittsfield High School and 1975 graduate of UMASS Amherst. Wayne worked as an engineer for ITT Industries for many years and previously had worked as a building contractor, building timber frame houses in New Jersey and in Western Massachusetts.

Prior to that, he worked for General Electric and Lockheed Martin. Wayne was a man of many varied interests. He was passionate about fitness throughout his life and was a licensed kettlebell instructor.

He was an enthusiastic fan of both sports and music, and attended concerts at Tanglewood regularly. Beethoven’s 9th Symphony was a particular Tanglewood favorite. He leaves behind his daughter, Jenna English of Pittsfield; his partner for the past three years, Robin LaRiviere; a brother Bernard English and his wife Jennifer of Williamstown, MA; and two nieces, Ashley and Brittany English.

He will be dearly missed. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Mr. English will be held September 8, 2018 from 2:00-4:00pm at Dery Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to Tanglewood in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield, MA 01201.
