Wayne L. Shreve Jr., 82, of Warren, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at the Rouse Home. Wayne was born on October 5, 1936, to the late Wayne and Marie Shreve. He graduated from Union City high school and joined the U.S. Army.

He proudly served for 20 years and 19 days and was a loyal member of D.A.V. He was an avid fisher. Wayne especially loved bass fishing and competed in many fishing tournaments, even as far as Florida.

He was also a member of his family bowling team, which started in Riverside and eventually ended up in Jamestown. He enjoyed deer hunting, watching NASCAR and boating on the Kinzua Dam. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Carolyn (Claypool) Shreve, whom he married on August 19, 1997, in Warren; his children, Susan (Mike) Miller, Bruce (Becky) Shreve, Tena (Russ) Berkhouse, and Meria (Wayne) Wright; 13 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his first wife, Carroll (Jones) Shreve; and his children, Richard, Billy, and Bonnie Shreve. Friends and family will be received from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, November 18, 2018, at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc. and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018, with a military funeral service to follow, Rev. Bill Beatty, pastor, officiating.
