Weber M. Soares, 91, of Balmoral Ct. , Seekonk, passed away with his family at his side Wednesday, May 2, 2018, at the Philip Hulitar Hospice Center. He was the husband of the late Sarah Sadie (Silva) Soares.

Born Dec. 29, 1926, in Sao Miguel, Azores, he was the son of the late Laurenio and Maria (Pavao) Soares. He served with the US Army during the Korean War.

He leaves 3 children, Karen S. DaSilva and her husband Joseph of Seekonk, Gary Soares also of Seekonk, and Lory Foti of East Providence; 5 grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Michael, Christopher and Sara; and 3 great grandchildren, Emma, Abigail and Bailey. He was the brother of the late Laurenio Soares and Maria Santos. His funeral will begin Tuesday, May 8, at 9am from the Rebello Funeral Home and Crematory, 901 Broadway, East Providence, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Francis Xavier Church, No.

Carpenter St., East Providence. Burial with military honors will take place at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, 5-8pm.
