Wila Poirier March 15, 1912 – October 03, 2018 Share this obituary Send Flowers Sign Guestbook| View Guest Book Entries| Send Private Condolences| Send Sympathy Card Funeral services for Mrs. Wila Poirier, age 106, will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Father Korey Lavergne will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Visitation will resume on Friday morning from 9:30 A.M. until 1:30 P.M. Interment will be at Our Lady Prompt Succor Cemetery in Coteau.

Mrs. Poirier passed away on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Youngsville, Louisiana. She is survived by her children, Joseph Romero, Paul “JC” Romero (Gertrude), Gordy Romero (Letty), Paul Wayne Romero, and Perry Paul Romero; step children Barbara Bourque and Dalton Bourque, 32 grandchildren, 71 great grandchildren, 63 great-great grandchildren, and 3 great-great-great grandchildren; along with a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses Poirier and Anita Mae Touchet Poirier, her husband, Ovey Joseph Romero, one son Cursy Romero, one daughter Olga Marie Gary; granddaughter Pauline, great grandsons, Chance and Ronnie. Pallbearers will be Kevin Romero, Sam Gary, Perry Paul Romero, Corey Romero, Jonathan Romero, Terry Gary, and Lance Segura. Honorary Pallbearers include Zachary Bourque, Landen Segura, and William Romero Acadian Funeral Home of New Iberia, is in charge of arrangements.
