Wilbert’s Obituary Wilbert Elmer Ball, age 91, passed away on March 19, 2019. Funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Monday, March 25, 2019 in the Davidson Funeral Home-Hickory Tree Chapel with Rev. Roger Dean officiating.

Burial will be private at Parklawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Wilbert was born in Davidson County on September 12, 1927 to William Elmer Ball and Clara Johnson Ball.

He was a retired employee of AT & T Company. He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby Perryman Ball and their only child, Byron W. Ball.

Surviving are his daughter-in-law, Patrice Ball, his grandsons, Nathan Ball and Ryan Windus and great-grandson Wesley Wisewood all of Portland, Oregon; his sister, Evelyn Weisner, brother, Larry Ball and sister-in-law Carolyn Ball, as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to donors favorite charity. Online condolences may be made at www.
