Wilda Joyce Ray Of Apache, OK Was born March 31, 1935 in Apache, OK to Marcy Finis and Virgie (Carr) Patterson. She passed away June 19th in Lawton, OK at the age of 83. Joyce married Charles “Chuck” Ray on August 3, 1958 in Lawton.

Together, they ran the Spur Express Café at Richards Spur and later, the Warrior Café, in Apache. Chuck passed away October 21, 2014. Joyce loved birds and working in her flower garden.

She could be found garage sale-ing looking for new books to read, especially mysteries. Joyce was a faithful member of the Oak Street Church of Christ. She greatly loved her family and spending time with them.

She is survived by: 1 daughter and her husband- Pam and Mike McKenzie Medicine Park, OK 2 sons and their wives- Greg and Luz Ray Lawton, OK Darin and Sally Ray Elgin, OK 3 grandchildren- Amanda Camacho, Aaron Ray and Dustin Ray 4 great-grandchildren- Eden Camacho, Camron Camacho, Connor Ray, Adeline Ray and 1 ‘on-the-way”! 1 brother and his wife- Gene and Scottie Patterson Clifton, TX She was preceded in death by: Her parents Her husband 1 son- Mark Ray 1 grandson-Zane Ray 1 brother-Horace Patterson 2 sisters- Teresa Prince, Mildred Patterson Graveside services will be held Monday, June 25th, at 10:00 A.M. in Fairview Cemetery at Apache with Doug Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.
