William C. “Bill” Hildreth July 8, 1944 – May 18, 2019 William C. “Bill” Hildreth, 74, Trail Creek, Indiana, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 8:00 am in Franciscan Health-St. Anthony, Michigan City, Indiana Private family services will be conducted. Arrangements are being handled by the Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, 418 Washington St., Michigan City, Indiana. He was born July 8, 1944 in Valparaiso, Indiana to the late Maximilian and Esther (Winters) Hildreth.

On July 13, 1968 in Michigan City he married Jeannette Wienke who survives Michigan City, Indiana along with three daughters, Elizabeth (David Abed) Hildreth of Michigan City, Indiana, Nicole (Rob) James of Indianapolis, Indiana, Sarah Hildreth of Michigan City, Indiana; three grandchildren, Zahra and Amira Abed and Meshak Luncsford; Brother, Robert (Geri) Hildreth of Hobe Sound, Florida; He was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Hildreth; Bill served in the Indiana National Guard, enjoyed golf and was a former member of the Briar Leaf Men’s Club. He was a car enthusiast who enjoyed spending his Tuesday nights at the “meet up” in Al’s Supermarkets parking lot, Michigan City, Indiana. Bill also retired in 2010 after more than 40 years as order/schedule processor at Arcelormittal and a lifelong member of the US Steel Workers Union.
