Obituary for William C. Porter Print William C. Porter, 73, of Fort Loudon, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at home. He was born Monday, August 7, 1945 in Philipsburg, PA. William was a son of the late Robert L. and Pearl Petrosky Porter.

William was a United States Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168, Shippensburg, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #802 and the Burt J. Asper American Legion Post #46 both in Chambersburg. William was an avid hunter.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanetta R. Engle Porter who passed away December 14, 1991. William is survived by two sons, Robert K. Porter of Martinsburg, West Virginia and Troy W. (Sherry) Porter of Shippensburg, one daughter, Janelle D. Engle of Florida, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Robert D. Porter of Carlisle and Gerald R. Porter of Chesapeake, Virginia. Funeral services were privately held in the Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home & Crematorium, Shippensburg.

Officiating was Pastor Ron Crawford. Burial with military honor conducted by the Minutemen of the Oscar M. Hykes American Legion Post # 223, Shippensburg were in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Durff-Kuhn VFW Post #6168, 130 West King Street, Shippensburg, PA 17257.
