William E. Seitz, 84, died on Sunday, February 10, 2019 at York Hospital. He was the husband of Anna J. (Rowlands) Seitz, sharing 65 years of marriage. William was born in Enola on June 18, 1934, son of the late William E. and Grace (Knackstedt) Seitz.

William started his printing career with the Patriot News in Harrisburg before becoming a salesman in the printing industry, retiring from Botcher America in 1998. He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church and the Zeredatha-White Rose Lodge No. 451, F. &A.M.

He enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially baseball. William played little league in the first World Series in 1947 in Williamsport and hit the first home run of the game. In addition to his wife, William is survived by three daughters, Linda Koller and her husband, Tim, Cindy Selby and her husband, Fred, and Lisa Ferro and her husband, Brian, all of York; five grandchildren, Andrea Andersen and her husband, Ted of Roanoke, VA, Erica Schieler and her husband, Kevin of York, Steve Selby and his wife, Jamie Beecher of Dallastown, Jared Krout of York, and Andrew Krout of York; one step grandson, Sam Ferro of Colorado; and two great granddaughters, Emma and Claire Schieler.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Wisman and Nancy Sgrignoli. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Homes and Cremation Service, 1111 E. Market St., York, with the Rev. Dr. Eddie D. D. Miller officiating.

A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. Masonic services will be conducted at 10:45 a.m. by his lodge at the funeral home. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5455 N. High Street, Columbus, OH 43214 or to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
