Obituary for William Francis “Bill” Kemp William (Bill) Francis Kemp, age 94, died December 7, 2018 at his home in Elkhart, Kansas. He was born August 14,1924 in Leonard, Missouri the son of Tom and Pearl (Johnston) Kemp. Bill served in the United States Navy during WW II.

He married Jean Horton on November 17, 1948 at Clayton, New Mexico. He was a Phillips Petroleum jobber, owned and operated a service station and farmed for 20 years. He is survived by his wife Jean Kemp of Eklhart, Kansas; three sons, Bob Clinkingbeard of Ulysses, Kansas, Tom Kemp and wife Sherie and Greg Kemp all of Elkhart, Kansas.

Daughter-in-law Patty Clinkingbeard of Perryton, Texas; sister Georgia (Jo) Webrand of North Carolina; sister-in-law’s Ann Kemp and Barbara Kemp both of Missouri; nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren, several great-great- grand-children, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Sons Dan Clinkingbeard and Billy Kemp, Brothers Bob Kemp and Jim Kemp and a sister Louise Priest. Cremation has taken place and a family “Celebration of Life” with military honors will take place at a later date at the Elkhart Cemetery.
