Sinka age 77 of Peck went to eternal rest on March 8, 2019. He was born April 2, 1941 in Melvin to John and Elizabeth Sinka. Bill attended Brown City High School and on October 19, 1963 was united in marriage to Metrona DeFrancois.

Bill retired after 30 years at GM Truck and Bus in Flint. He had many interests including helping family and friends with various tasks, spending time with his children and grandchildren, helping on the family farm, fishing with friends and going for long rides. Most memorable times with Bill were listening to him play guitar and harmonica together at the family table.

Bill enjoyed target shooting and scooter riding with his wife of 55 years, “Sweetie”, Trona. Bill was baptized as a child in the Methodist Episcopal Church in Melvin and raised his children in the faith. Survived by his wife of 55 years Metrona Sinka, 4 children; William James (Connie) Sinka, Metrona “Toni” Sinka-Weimer, Elizabeth “Becky” (Dan) Filby and Mary (Adam) Filkins, 9 grandchildren; William Sinka, Kristen (Mat) Gilbert, Makena Weimer, Braydon Weimer, Nicholas Schlappi, Sara and Taylor Filby, Anthony Filkins, Andrew Filkins and a great grandchild Paisley Gilbert.

A sister Cindy Faust, a brother Joe Sinka and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a baby grandson Aaron Filkins. A graveside service to be held March 13, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Elk Township Cemetery in Peck.
