William Joseph Davis, 77, of Jeannette died Monday, May 28, 2018 in Hempfield Manor, Greensburg. He was born, February 15, 1941, one of 11 children to Russell J. and Florence Louise Samery Davis. Prior to retirement he was a shipping and receiving manager at Millstein Industries.

He was a veteran of the US Navy and was a member and past commander of Jeannette American Legion Post #344. He loved to camp, fish, and spend time with his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Paul Fogle.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Fogle Davis of Jeannette, a daughter, Melanie Swindell and her husband Dan of Greensburg, granddaughter, Alicia Zuzak and her husband Jay of Greensburg, three great-grandsons, Gauge Matthew, Colton Jaycob and Kyler William Zuzak, a brother-in-law, George Fogle of Jeannette, his K9 companion Daisy and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the MASON-GELDER FUNERAL HOME, INC. , 201 N. First St., Jeannette.

A funeral service will be held Thursday at a time to be announced. Interment will take place in Penn Lincoln Memorial Park, North Huntingdon. To send on-line condolences, visit www.
