Obituary for William “Lewis” Bryan William “Lewis” Bryan, age 83, of Clarksville, Tennessee, died Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at his home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock pm, Sunday, April 29th, at Austin & Bell Funeral Home in Pleasant View with Bro. John Richardson, Bro.

Mike Madewell, and Bro. Randy Riggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant View United Methodist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00-7:00PM on Saturday, April 28th, and again on Sunday beginning at 12:00PM noon until the hour of service at 2:00PM. Mr. Bryan was born on March 30, 1935 in Mars Hill, North Carolina, to the late William A. and Clara Huffstetler Bryan. He was retired from Sears, was a Realtor, a 32nd degree Mason, a Shriner, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a member of Mt.

Hermon Baptist Church. Lewis was well known for growing delicious tomatoes and sharing them with friends and neighbors. He was also a regular attendee of the “College of Knowledge” at Excell Market.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Murphy Bryan; and brother, Robert Bryan. Survivors include his son, William L. “Lou” Bryan, Jr.; daughters, Cindy Bryan Hinton, and Susan (Arlen) Bryan Harris; grandchildren, Rachel DeeAnn Hinton, and Bryan Montgomery Hinton; and Man’s Best Friend & loyal companion, Max. AUSTIN & BELL FUNERAL HOME in Pleasant View is in charge of these arrangements.
