Obituary for William Royal Jr. William Royal, Jr., 69, of Ridgeway, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. He was born in Pittsylvania County on May 19, 1949, to the late William Royal, Sr. and Thelma Keen Royal. He had been employed for 35 years as a truck driver for Fleet Master, Inc.; and was a member of New Beginnings Holiness Church.

He loved hunting and fishing. Mr. Royal is survived by his wife, Janice Staples Royal; daughter, Shirley (Ronnie) Williams; son, Johnathan Royal; sisters, Shirley Bradner, Jean Hunter, and Sarah Bradner; brothers, James (Tony), John (Queen), and Peter (Lucille) Royal; and five grandchildren, Dearrieon Wiliamson, Jaylen Frazier, Aaliyah Williams, Alyssa (Grace) Williams and Alivia Williams. The funeral will be on Sunday, December 16, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel with Pastor Alfred Eccles officiating.

Visitation will be one-half hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Callands Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery, 1097 Strawberry Road, Chatham, VA. Wright Funeral Service & Crematory is serving the family.
