William Stanley Holland, 86, of Boyne City, passed away on October 19, 2018 in Petoskey, MI. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 27th at Community of Christ Church in Boyne City. William was born in Boyne City to Stanley and Stella (Bartley) Holland.

He graduated from Boyne City High School in 1951. He attended Graceland College until enlistment in the USAF where he served as a senior surveyor from 1951-1955. William enjoyed photography, building models and being a ham radio operator.

Bill and his wife Nancy lived in Lansing, Traverse City, Alpena and Boyne City during their 62 year marriage. Bill retired from Top O’ Michigan Rural Electric Co. in 1995. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Vern Brunges, Virgil Brunges, Harry Holland and Robert Holland and sisters Geraldine Holland Worthing, Mamie Brunges Shipman, Tressa Brunges Gamble, Gladys Brunges Syrek and Marie Holland, grandson Alan Murphy and granddaughter-in-law Kelly Murphy.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, daughter Nancy Murphy, son Bill (Ann) Holland, grandchildren Greg (Molly) Holland, Beth (Adam) Leist, Bill Holland II, and Sarah Holland, and great grandchildren Bethany and Lilly Murphy. Stackus Funeral Home is serving the family.
