William “Terry” Bailey, 73 of Gentry, Arkansas, died February 25, 2019 at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Arkansas. Born October 16, 1945 in Texarkana, Texas, he was the son of Raymond Bailey and Jewel Bailey Reid. Terry married Brenda Douglass on January 29, 1966.

He was a correctional officer for the federal prison system and for Benton County jail. Terry was a member of Gentry United Methodist Church and the VFW. He served our country during Vietnam in the Army.

He was preceded in death by his mother, step father Levi B. Reid, father, two sisters Wanda Holiday and Betty Earhart and one brother Thomas Bailey. Survivors include his wife Brenda of the home; sons David A. Bailey and wife Carla of Gravette, Arkansas and John M. Bailey and wife Johnna of Memphis, Tennessee; five grandchildren Chris Kelley and wife Brandi, Jeremy Rhodes, William Atticus Bailey, Flannery Mae Bailey and Amos W. Bailey; brothers Harold Bailey and wife Joyce of Sherwood, Arkansas, Glenn Bailey and wife Erlene of Little Rock, Arkansas and Joe Reid and wife Sandi of Glasgow, Kentucky; brother in law Maurice Holliday of Texarkana, Texas and sister in law Linda Smith of Doddridge, Arkansas. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2019, at Gravette First Baptist Church, Gravette, Arkansas.
