Obituary for William W. Chew Jr William W. Chew, Jr., 82, resident of Pennsville, N.J., passed away on April 7th, 2018. Bill was predeceased by his parents, William W. Chew, Sr. and Ruby O (Carson) Chew. He is survived by his beloved wife of over 38 years, Alfreda C. Chew (nee Caltabiano), children Kim George (Glenn), Tamara Chew (Dathan), William Chew III (Kathy), Christine Crispin (Donald), Joseph Coco, grandchildren Kelly Shute (Jeff), Katie Bell (Gary), Kristin Chew, Dana Chew, Jackie Booth, Donnie Crispin, Jessica Crispin, Tony Powers, Casey Powers, sister Judy Stancliff (James), 7 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Bill worked for New Jersey Bell Telephone for 13 years as an Installer/Lineman before starting his own HVAC business, Autocon Inc. in 1968, retiring in 2002. During his retirement he volunteered on the battleship USS NEW JERSEY for 14 years in the maintenance dept. He also served as a Navy Sea Cadet instructor for 13 years achieving the rank of Lt.

JG. One of his proudest accomplishments while an instructor was seeing his grandson Donnie Crispin AWS2 (NAC/AW) Naval Air crewmen (Helicopter) Second Class, graduate from this program and enter the US Navy where he proudly serves our country. Bill was also a longtime member of the Salem County Sportsman Club, NRA, Eastern Heating & Cooling council, IGHSPA, and many other business related organizations.

Relatives and friends are invited to a viewing to be held on Wednesday April 11th from 9:30 to 11:00 am followed by a service at 11am at ASHCRAFT Funeral Home 740 South Broadway Pennsville, NJ. 08070. Burial will follow at St. John’s Episcopal Cemetery in Salem, N.J. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made online at www.
