Obituary for Joann M. Joann M. Franceschini (nee Burke) ,age 85, of Penns Grove, NJ, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 21, 2018. She was born on October 29, 1932 to Magdeline Morrissey and Peter J. Burke. She attended St. James High School.

She worked as a waitress at the Howard Johnsons and was a cafeteria server for PG-CP School District. Joann received many awards for Rolling Skating at the Riverview Park Roller Rink and enjoyed camping throughout the tri-state area. Joann is survived by son Nicholas and wife Vicki, daughter Grace Franceschini; grandchildren Brook Aranda (Juan Carlos) and Jonathan (Jacqueline) Franceschini; great grandchildren Nico and Luca Aranda, and Briella Grace Franceschini; brothers Greg Burke (Carol Thatcher), John Burke (Donna); and sisters Judy Smith and Margie Ayares.

She is predeceased by her husband John F. Franceschini; her parents Magdeline and Peter Burke; brothers Sonny Burke and Thomas Burke; and sisters Patricia Accardi and Vernetta (Skippy) Nelson. Viewing will be held at the Ashcraft Funeral Home, 740 South Broadway, Pennsville, NJ 08070 on Tuesday, June 26 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Wednesday, June 27 viewing from 10-11:00am followed by a service at 11:00am. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Woodstown, NJ.
