Obituary of William Rowe William Rowe Jr., age 80, of Corning, NY, died Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. William was born April 21, 1938 in Corning, NY. He is the son of William and Beatrice (Spoor) Rowe.

He married Cheryl Philip in 1969 at St. Patrick’s in Corning. William proudly served in the United States Army. William was a Firefighter for the city of Corning for several years.

He was employed by Corning Waste Water as a plant operator and Brown’s Cigar Store in Corning for over 30 years. William was an avid bowler in his early years, and he enjoyed traveling. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Philip) Rowe; son, Jason Rowe of Corning; brother, Gary (Karen) Rowe of Big Flats; several in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

William was predeceased by his mother, Beatrice Rowe, and his father, William Rowe, former Police Chief of Corning. At his request, William’s family will meet for a private gathering.
