Obituary of Andrew Gleason Andrew J. Gleason, age 86, of Corning, NY passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 at Snyder Memorial Windsor House, Warren, PA. Andrew was born on February 28, 1932 in Caton, NY, the son of the late Andrew J. and Ethel G. (Stevens) Gleason. He married Pamela Webster on July 17, 2008.

He worked as a truck driver for Corning, Inc., retiring in 1989. Andrew will be remembered for his building skills, building and refinishing homes, doing dry wall and carpentry on the side. He would often be found in his garage working on antique cars, going to car shows and meets.

He was known to use the running boards to heat baby food. He restored and painted an old Chevy truck. Andrew also had several horses over the years.

He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Gleason of Corning, NY; children: Christine (Keith) Pulver and Andrea (Brit) Nelson; grandchildren: Greg Bullock and Kevan (Amanda) Nelson; two great granddaughters: Avery Bullock and Kailynn Nelson; sisters: Beverly Dillion and Betty Bartholomew; step-son, Robert (Becky) Waltman; step-daughter, Nicole (Colby) Waltman; sisters and brothers-in-law: Linda Webster, Virginia (George) Williams, Carol (Jim) Brown, Terry (Leroy) Baker, Steve Webster, Rick (Deb) Webster and Marie Haggerty; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Andrew was predeceased by wives: Joyce Gleason Share and Janice Gleason; and siblings: Joseph, Alfred, Mary and Luella. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, December 21, 2018 from 2:00 to 3:00pm at Carpenter’s Funeral Home, 14 E. Pulteney St., Corning, NY.

A memorial service will immediately follow at the funeral home at 3:00 pm, Rev. Gary Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations in Andrew’s name may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave.
