Obituary of William Ryan William “Bill” Kenneth Ryan, 77, of Salisbury, died on Monday, September 17, 2018, at his home surrounded by his family. Born on November 20, 1940 in Easton, he was the son of the late Lee Ryan and Mary Nepert Ryan. Bill started working for Seidel Insurance, later becoming Peninsula Insurance.

He remained there until retirement after 50 years of service. He always spoke highly of Sam Seidel and the kindness he showed to Bill. Bill was a Boy Scout Leader and led the Eagle Scouts.

He was a member of East Side Men’s Club and the Salisbury Moose Lodge. He loved going to yard sales and working a good deal. Bill will be remembered for his giving nature and ability to make a friend in everyone he met.

His family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandson, were the light of his life. Bill is survived by his wife, Barbara Ryan; a daughter, Karen Azbell and her husband Mark; a son, Michael Ryan and his girlfriend Connie Allen; a step-daughter, Beth Lewis; a step-son, Scott Jestice and his wife Jan; six grandchildren, Kristen Taylor and her husband Ryan, Ryan Azbell, Dillon Lewis, Jessica Lewis, Jack Jestice and Tony Jones; a great-grandson, Zachary Taylor. He is also survived by a brother, David Ryan and his wife Barbara; a sister, Dorothy “Dot” Bayly and her husband Bob; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Ryan and several other family members.

In addition to his parents, Bill is preceded in death by a daughter, Gail Ryan, a grandson, baby boy Ryan and a brother, Lee A. E. Ryan. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 21, 2018 at Holloway Funeral Home, Salisbury. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2018 from 6 PM – 8 PM and one hour prior to the service.

Rev. Joel Beiler will officiate. Burial will be in Wicomico Memorial Park.
