Willie Dee Best, age 53, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, January 21, 2019 here in Del Rio. He was born on June 21, 1965 here in Del Rio to Leon Best and Yvonne Best Sanders. Preceding him in death was his father Leon “Spanky” Best.

Family members left to cherish his memory include his mother, Yvonne Best Sanders; stepfather, Bennie Sanders; sisters, Zaundra Wyatt and husband Stanley of Hampton, Virginia and Jeannine Opoku and husband Kofi of Houston, Texas; brother, Leon Best and wife Debra of Spring, Texas; aunt, Nancy Williams; uncle, Elmo “Rusty” Watson and wife Sylvia; first cousins, Rodney and Derek; nieces/nephews: Leon Jr, Demarcus, Chris, Stanley III, Lashay, Tony Safo, and Yaw “KP”; Willie is also survived by 15 great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. in the funeral home chapel at G.W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home. A Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. at G.W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home with Rev.

Paul Millsups officiating. Graveside service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at Sunset Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care and direction of G.W. Cox Memorial Funeral Home, 114 Fletcher Drive, Del Rio, Texas.
