Harrison Maxwell, 85, of Cuero passed away Friday, January 4, 2019. She was born August 9, 1933 in Navarro County to the late Robert Lee and Myrtle B. Lambert Harrison. Zelda married Edward Wilkerson Maxwell on August 31, 1949.

She and Edward enjoyed traveling all over the country in their RV. Zelda was her husband’s greatest fan – always sitting on the front row at the music shows where he played his guitar and sang. She had many hobbies to include stained glass, ceramics, crocheting, embroidery, needlepoint , and collecting stamps, coins, and coffee cups.

Zelda was a professional nurse for 30 years serving communities in Texas and Oklahoma. Throughout her career and after retirement, she was each and every member of her family’s personal nurse, always making sure they were well taken care of. She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years; daughters, Robbi Cerny and husband, Clarence, of Eagle Lake and Tresa Urbanovsky and husband, Steve, of Cuero; sons, Edward Wayne Maxwell and wife, Norma, of Corpus Christi and John Earl Maxwell of Marfa; grandchildren, Clint Maxwell and wife, Nancy, of The Woodlands, Lance Maxwell and wife, Jill, of East Bernard, Amy Petersen and husband, Scott, of Richmond, Clay Cerny and wife, Jodie, of Brazoria, Cody Cerny and wife, Bonnie, of Brookshire, Cliff Cerny and wife, Bonnie, of Devers, Maegan Maxwell and fiancé, Zac, of Kansas City, MO, Matthew Maxwell of Spring, Travis Urbanovsky and wife, Mandell, of New Braunfels, Brady Urbanovsky and wife, Heather, of Washington DC, Chris Urbanovsky and wife, Haley, of Los Fresnos, and Jonathan Maxwell of San Antonio; and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, John Nell Randeau and Zella Bush. Visitation will be Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 1 p.m. at Freund Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. with Pastor Ernest Maxwell officiating.

Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Victoria at 4:30 p.m. Pallbearers include Clint Maxwell, Lance Maxwell, Matthew Maxwell, Clay Cerny, Cody Cerny, Cliff Cerny, Travis Urbanovsky, Brady Urbanovsky, and Chris Urbanovsky. Honorary Pallbearers will be Amy Petersen and Maegan Maxwell. Memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, Grand Central Station, PO Box 4777, New York, NY 10163-4777.
