Obituary for Aida Mendoza Aida I. Mendoza, 81, wife of fifty-four years to the late Juan Mendoza Sr., died Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Westfield Care & Rehab Center after a brief illness. Born in Aibonito, Puerto Rico on November 16, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Ramon and Asuncion Crespo. She was a longtime Meriden resident and attended schools in Puerto Rico.

She was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church. Aida is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Mendoza and two sons; Juan Mendoza and his wife Zulma and Victor M. Mendoza and his wife Juana Iris, six grandchildren; Veronica Mendoza-Wagner, Juan Mendoza Jr., Christina Mendoza, Julianna Mendoza, Anjelica Mendoza and Victor Mendoza Jr. and one great grandson, Alexander Noel Patraw. She is also survived by a sister, Carmen Luisa, three brothers; Pedro Juan Rodriguez and twin brothers, Jose Ramon and Carlos Manuel Crespo and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son, Noel A. Mendoza. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden. Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church.

Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden on Sunday, July 29th from 1 to 4 p.m. For online condolences and directions, please visit www. jferryfh.com.
