Obituary for Jonathan “Johnny” Ward Jonathan L. Ward, 37, passed away on July 14, 2018 surrounded by his loving family after a lengthy illness. Born in Meriden on September 1, 1980, he was the son of John Wesley May and Fannie Q. Ward “Queen”. “Johnny” lived in Meriden for most of his life after growing up in Southington and attending Southington High School where he enjoyed playing football.

He had a love for dogs, especially pitbulls, cars, and music. He also enjoyed good food and spending time with his friends. Johnny will always be remembered for being such a giving person by those that knew and loved him.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his son, Jonathan L. Ward Jr.; four brothers, Kerry Ward and his wife Theresa, Raymond Ward, John Jr. and Gerald; four sisters, Vickie, Raven, Azure and Chantel; He is also survived by his aunt “Bea” whom he loved, his uncles, Woodley Ward and Wendell Ward as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother Craig. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Tuesday, July 24th at 11 a.m. at Mount Hebron Baptist Church, 84 Franklin St., Meriden, CT 06450.

Burial will be private.
