Obituary for Richard “Rick” Tompkins Richard C. “Rick” Tompkins, 51, died Sunday, September 9, 2018 at Hartford Hospital after a short illness. Born in Meriden on August 23, 1967, he was the son of Lynn L’Heureux Karsky and Kim Karsky and the late Richard D. Tompkins Mr. Tompkins attended Berlin schools, was an avid fisherman, Oakland Raiders and New York Mets fan. Rick was well known in the restaurant arena, especially for his crab cakes.

Besides his mother and father, he is survived by his daughters; Chloe Tompkins and her partner Teddy Kuhn, Mia Tompkins and her partner AJ Hendrickson and Grace Tompkins, and a son, Alex Tompkins. He is also survived by his sister, Alicia Karsky, a brother Gregg Karsky and his wife Ewelina, a niece Yana Karsky and several cousins. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, Holy Angels Campus, 585 Main St., South Meriden.

Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be in St. Boniface Cemetery. Family and friends may call at the John J.
