Obituary for Ernest Scarpati Ernest W. Scarpati, 49, died unexpectedly on Friday, October 12, 2018 at his home. Born in Meriden on June 28, 1969, he was the son of Geraldine Scarpati Trowbridge and the late Robert Trowbridge. Mr. Scarpati graduated from H.C. Wilcox Technical High School as an electrician.

He worked for Elite Roofing of Middlefield and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during peacetime. Ernie was an excellent handyman and was a longtime fan of the New York Yankees and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Besides his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Maya Lavoie, three aunts; Carmela Ross, Mary Deichler (Roger) and Lucy Scarpati, one niece, two nephews, many cousins and his beloved dog Sally.

He was predeceased by his beloved dogs Zeus, Thor, King, Maxx. Family and friends are invited to attend calling hours at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden on Friday, October 19, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to his family.
