Thelma E. Godshalk, 101, a charter member of The Highlands at Wyomissing, passed away Sunday, September 30, 2018 at 3:10 pm in The Highlands at Wyomissing Nursing Unit. She was the wife of the late Reverend Merritt Godshalk who passed away November 10, 2000. Born in Pen Argyl, Mrs. Godshalk was the daughter of the late Gordon F. and Lulu L. (Parsons) Edwards.

She was a graduate of Pen Argyl High School and was a member of Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church. Mrs. Godshalk served as past president of the Ministers Wives Association of the Philadelphia Annual Conference, The United Methodist Church. Her main hobby was oil painting which she began with number painting.

She was preceded in death by her siblings George, Walter, Russell, Forester, William and Herman Edwards and Elizabeth Hicks and Bessie Roberts. Graveside Service will be held in Fairview Cemetery, Pen Argyl, PA Monday, October 8, 2018 at 11:00 am. Memorial Service will be held in The Highlands at Wyomissing 2000 Cambridge Ave.

Wyomissing Saturday, October 20, 2018 at 10:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9:30-10:00 am. Reverend Kuyungmo Koo will officiate at both services.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Lincoln Park Community United Methodist Church, 1 Carlisle Ave. West Lawn, PA 19609 in memory of Mrs. Thelma E. Godshalk. Bean Funeral Homes & Cremation Services, 129 E. Lancaster Ave.
