Obituary for David A. Stocking Jr. David A. Stocking Jr., 57, died on Thursday, November 8, 2018 at Midstate Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Born in Meriden on July 25, 1961, he was the son of David A. Stocking Sr. and Rose Marie Stocking. He had resided in Watertown and had graduated from Maloney High School, Class of 1979.

David was employed by Ryder Truck and Maintenance in Waterbury as a diesel mechanic. He was a parishioner of St. Mary Church in Meriden. Besides his parents, he is survived by his sister, Catherine Papallo and her husband, George Papallo and their children, Christopher and Natale; his brother, Scott Stocking and his son Joshua Stocking and his sister, Ashley Baierlein; his loving friend Patricia Haenig and many dear cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Leverett S. Stocking Sr. and Mr. Angelo Cerra and Mrs. Dorothy Cerra. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at 9:15 a.m. from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden and at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, St. Joseph Campus for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum.

Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, November 12th from 4 to 7 p.m. His family wishes to thank the Midstate ICU, Palliative and Hospice teams for their excellent care and compassion. David’s family would also like to thank Coccomo Healthcare for the kind and sincere care that was given to him.
