Obituary for Margaret Teresa Gratta Cannatelli Margaret Teresa Gratta Cannatelli, 76, passed away peacefully at Midstate Medical Center on Friday December 21, 2018 after a lengthy illness. Born in Meriden on October 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Noah and Stella (Gawel) Gratta. She had resided in Meriden most of her life and graduated from Platt high school.

Margaret was a dedicated and faithful cook at The Corner Lunch on Cook Ave for over 30 years before retiring from the diner in 2004. She was a parishioner at Our Lady Queen of Angels, St. Joseph Campus. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and going on fun trips to the casino with her daughter.

Margaret was a selfless caregiver and always put others before herself. She most enjoyed being a devoted mother and grandmother. She is survived by her daughter Deanna and her partner Clem Hall, her grandson Christopher Bower and fiancé Katy Fitch and brother Fran Gratta.

Margaret is also survived by her niece Allison Gratta Mendoza, special sister in-law’s Karen Kowal and Patricia Magrath. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers Anthony and Stephen Gratta.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday December 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, St Joseph Campus. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday December 28, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be later date.
