Obituary for David Brierley David Brierley, 72, loving husband of Nancy (Brewster) Brierley, died on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 peacefully at Masonicare after a short illness. Born in Pawtucket, RI on September 18, 1946, he was the son of the late Howard and Elsie Brierley. He had lived in Southington and Meriden most of his life.

He had attended Southington Schools. Dave retired from Connecticut Light & Power in Cheshire in 2004, where he worked as a lineman. After his retirement, he loved living in Ft.

Myers Beach, Fl for eight years, returning to Southington. He was a parishioner of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Southington. He was an avid Giants and New York Yankees fan.

In addition to his caring wife Nancy, he is survived by three stepsons, Bruce, Jim and Brian and his wife Cheryl; a step daughter, Reneé; two granddaughters, Kendra and Celia and a very special grandson, Corey; one very loving great-grandson, Gavin; a sister Barbara Turello; a loving and caring sister-in-law, Betty Lombardi and a brother-in-law Ed Jason. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Dave was predeceased by his sister-in-law Mary Jason.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 1pm at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 145 Main St, Southington, CT. Interment will follow immediately after the service at the church Memorial Garden. Friends and family are also invited to attend a gathering in Dave’s memory Friday, December 14, 2018 from 4 to 6 pm at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St, Meriden CT 06450.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church or to a charity of one’s choice.
