Obituary for John Dionizio John Dionizio, 56, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving and caring family. He was the beloved son of Mildred (Kelly) Dionizio and the late Joseph Dionizio. John was born and raised in Meriden and had attended local schools and worked as a laborer for local construction companies.

Growing up he participated in many local sports programs and often spent much of his time at the former Meriden Boys Club. Besides his mother, John is survived by his two sons, Jason Dionizio and Kyle Porter and his wife Yesenia; his daughter Brittany Dionizio; his long-time companion Liz Fernandez; and his four brothers and their spouses, Joseph and Rhonda Dionizio, Robert and Da V. Dionizio, David and Angela L. Dionizio and Steven and Lisbeth C. Dionizio. Also left to cherish his memory are his many nieces and nephews and two grandchildren, Kylie Porter and Richard Edward.

Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service to be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Cemetery, 250 Gypsy Lane, Meriden, CT 06450. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT 06450.

The family is grateful for the compassionate care from the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, New Britain General. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 109 Goodwill Ave, Meriden, CT 06451, or the Boys and Girls Club of Meriden,15 Lincoln Street, Meriden, CT 06451.
