Obituary for Stephanie Danylik (Foyt) Stephanie Danylik, 100, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at the Connecticut Baptist Home in Meriden. Born in the Bronx, NY, on February 14, 1918, she was the daughter of the late John Foyt and Sophie (Pleban) Foyt. Mrs. Danylik had been the loving wife of the late Philip M. Danylik for 47 years.

She was formerly of Rockaway, NJ before she came to live with her daughter in Meriden in 2002. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Cecilia R.C. Church in Rockaway. Mrs. Danylik was a gifted crafter who loved to sew, knit, crochet and create marvelous gifts for her family and friends.

She was a great lover of animals and loved her dogs and cats to the point of spoiling them all. She was a wonderful cook and homemaker who cared for her family above everything. Mrs. Danylik will be greatly missed, especially for her famous holiday meals and family gatherings in NJ.

She is survived by her two daughters, Christine Ivers and her husband David; and Phyllis Phelps; six grandchildren, Kristopher Phelps, Lynn Walder and husband Adam, Ryan Phelps, Patricia Opgaard and husband Andrew, Katherine Schunk and husband Justin, and Stephanie Heine and husband Eric; six great grandchildren, Evan and Andrew Walder, Owen and Eirik Opgaard, and Maximus and Mabel Schunk; and nieces Leona Tucci, Lynne Kershaw and Marilyn Wilkens. She was predeceased by her sister Wanda Gorrick and her brother Edward Foyt. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be held on Saturday, December 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Angels, St. Joseph Campus, 22 Goodwill Ave.

, Meriden, CT 06451. Internment will be private and at the request of the family. There will be no calling hours.

Should friends desire, contributions in her memory may be made to The Meriden Humane Society, 311 Murdock Ave. , Meriden, CT 06450. Arrangements are under the direction of John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home.
