Obituary for Florence “Flo” Dow Florence “Flo” (Brehm) Dow, 97, of Meriden, beloved wife of the late Robert C. Dow, passed away peacefully on November 9, 2018 at the Meriden Center. Born in New York City on January 28, 1921, Florence was the daughter of the late John and Marietta (Frederick) Brehm. Since the age of five, she was an active resident of Meriden.

Florence graduated from St. Lawrence School, Meriden High School and Laurel College of Meriden. She worked at Metropolitan Insurance Company until her retirement. Florence was a member of St Rose of Lima Church in Meriden.

She was active in the community and was a member of the: Daughters of Isabella, League of Women Voter, Catholic Council of Women, Red Hat Society and the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a volunteer at Meriden Hospital, Food Kitchen and 1711 House and St. Rose Bingo. She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (Dow) Constantinople and her husband Charlie; her sons, Kevin R. Dow and his wife Linda (Kotch) of South Meriden, Johnathan B. Dow and his wife Maria (Leoni) of Little River South Carolina and David C. Dow and his wife Mary Lou (Dziodzio) of Meriden.

She is also survived by 15 beloved grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Flo most enjoyed time with all her grandchildren. She was predeceased by her son Brian F. Dow and her granddaughter Melany J. Dow.

Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial to be held on Wednesday November 14, 2018 at 11am at St. Rose of Lima Church, 35 Center St., Meriden. Family and friends may call prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the John. J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street.

, Meriden. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff at the Meriden Center and Hospice of Southington for all the care received.
