Obituary for Phyllis Todd Phyllis G. Todd, 88, wife of the late Royce C. Todd, Jr., passed away peacefully, at her home, on Sunday, July 8, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. Born in New Britain, CT, on January 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Julius and Ida (Priebe) Gibson. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her son Christopher J. Todd, her sister, Claire (Harold) Meltzer and her brother, John P. Gibson.

Phyllis lived in Meriden for over fifty years and was a member of the Center Congregational Church. Phyllis dedicated her life to her family and will be remembered for her many words of wisdom. She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Zalenski (Paul), her grandchildren, Donald Eldred (Jen Farkas), Paul Zalenski, Shawna Morales (Alberto), Kristan Jakiela and Kaylie Zalenski, two great-grandchildren, Christopher Eldred and Mason Morales and former daughter-in-law Jeanette Ross.

She also leaves behind her beloved companions, Benji, Bella, Mimi and Tux. Per Phyllis’ request, services will be private. The John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, CT, is entrusted with the arrangements.
