Carl W. Kissling, 88, of Wernersville, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at 5:08 pm in his residence. He was the husband of the late Dawn G. (Miller) Kissling who passed away April 25, 2017. Born in Brownsville, PA, Mr. Kissling was the son of the late J. William M. Kissling and Anna (Dussinger) Kissling.

He served in the United States Navy during the Korean war completing 2 tours on board the USS Currituck (AD7). He was employed as a roller in the hot mill at CarTech for 30 years retiring in 1987. Mr. Kissling was a member of Saint John’s Reformed Church in Sinking Spring and was a life member of Womelsdorf VFW and former Wernersville VFW and life member of Robesonia, Sinking Spring and Wernersville Fire Companies.

He is survived by his children Bonnie L. Fox of Wernersville; Michael P. Kissling, husband of Tara M. Kissling of Port Orange, Florida and Marcia A. Cobb, wife of Timothy R. Cobb of Sinking Spring. He was the beloved Pepaw to his grandchildren Ashley and her husband John; Kelsea and her husband Jake, Shane, Billy, and Alex and great grandchildren Abigail, Andrew and Benjamin. Mr. Kissling is also survived by his brothers Thomas Kissling of Bernville and Edward Kissling of Robesonia and his sisters Mildred Sillman of Wernersville; Arlene Feeman of Bern Township and Mary Jane, wife of Clark Beidler of Brownsville.

He was preceded in death by his brothers James, John, Melvin, and Russell. His goodwill to all was warm genuine and well known; extending over decades of friend and family gatherings, infamous clam-bakes, and a never-ending supply of ideas – that were often over ruled but kept things interesting. Funeral Service will be held in Bean Funeral Home, 3825 Penn Ave.

Sinking Spring, Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at 10:30 am. Reverend Robert S. Ziehmer will officiate. Interment with Military Honors will follow in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.

The family will receive relatives and friends in Bean Funeral Home Wednesday 8:30 to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Saint John’s Reformed Church 4001 Penn Ave. Sinking Spring, PA 19608 in memory of Mr. Carl W. Kissling.
