Albert C. Chase, 88, of Warren, PA, left this world peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the Rouse Warren County Home after a lengthy illness. Mr. Chase was born June 15, 1930, in Mt. Jewett, PA, son of the late John G. and Florence T. (Myers) Chase.

He was a graduate of Mt. Jewett High School and served in the U.S. Air Force from 1948-1951. Upon his discharge, he met and married the love of his life, Sarah L. Perkins, on April 18, 1953.

He was employed for 33 years as a draftsman for the former Pittsburgh-Des Moines Steel Company, both in the Warren and Des-Moines offices, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Scandia Covenant Church of which he served as elder, trustee, adult Sunday school teacher and choir member. He also served as chairman for the men’s monthly prayer breakfast and for many special church dinners.

He was an avid woodworker who realized a life’s dream of building his own home and helping his children with many projects. He enjoyed card club with a special group of friends. He also enjoyed golfing, camping, hunting and watching the birds and wildlife outside his kitchen window.

But most of all, he loved the Lord, his family and his many friends. He is survived by his children, Donald Chase, of Seguin, TX, Annie (Walter) Cook, of Sheffield, Rayetta (Fred) Freeman, of Warren, Linda (Kenneth) Blum, of Sheffield, and David (Cynthia) Chase, of Chesapeake, VA; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Sarah Chase; his son, Timothy Chase; his sister, Esther Chase; his daughter-in-law, Karen Chase; and his grandson, Adam Chase.

He is also survived by dear friends, who were considered family, Luis and Debbie Lupnitz, of Conroe, TX, and their three children. . Friends will be received on Sunday, December 2, 2018, from 2-5 p.m. at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna.

Ave. E., Warren, PA 16365 and from 10-11 a.m. at the Warren Alliance Church, 278 Kinzua Rd, Warren, PA 16365, with a funeral service to follow, Rev. Marcus Briggs, pastor, officiating.

The Youngsville Honor guard will provide military honors. Interment will take place at Sheffield Cemetery. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through Friends of the Rouse, 701 Rouse Ave.
