Stephanie Lynn Andersen, 28, of Warren, PA passed away at 8:45 a.m. on Sunday November 18, 2018 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Stephanie fought a long and amazingly courageous battle with Mixed Phenotype Acute Leukemia. Stephanie was born on February 16, 1990, the daughter of Todd and Veronica (Cassidy) Andersen of Scandia.

Stephanie was a 2008 graduate of Eisenhower High School, and attended Edinboro University. During high school and college, Stephanie worked at Blueberry Hill Golf Club, waitressed at the Draft House, and most recently worked as a waitress at the Forester Restaurant. She was employed at Northwest Bank for seven years having to leave due to her illness.

Stephanie will be remembered as happy and care-free. Throughout her battle with leukemia, she remained strong, positive, and gained many friends at the Hillman Cancer Center and Shadyside Hospital Leukemia and Stem Cell Transplant Units in Pittsburgh. Although angry with cancer, Stephanie was kind and caring to her caregivers and faced this horrible disease with grace and strength.

Throughout her entire life Stephanie was well known for her generosity, kindness, and willingness to always help others. She has made many friends in her short 28 years. Stephanie had a great love for the outdoors, spending her free time kayaking and camping.

She also enjoyed decorating and crafting. Stephanie loved spending time with her fiancé, family, many friends and especially her niece and nephew, Charlotte and Theo Andersen. Stephanie was always the joy of any get-together and will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and love of practical jokes.

Her passing has left a hole in the hearts of many. In addition to her mom and dad, Stephanie is survived by her fiancé, Shane T. Tuszynski of Warren; her faithful boxer Teaka; one sister Samantha Holt and husband Cody of Butler, PA; two brothers Charlie Andersen and wife Christina (Guiffre) Andersen of Pittsfield; Dustin Andersen and companion Christina Briggs of Warren; and her lifelong friend, Crystal (Lewis) DeVault, her husband Zach and daughter Oaklyn of Sugar Grove. Also surviving are her paternal grandmother, Peg Andersen of Warren and maternal grandmother, Nancy Cassidy of Zephyrhills, FL, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Stephanie is preceded in death by her infant son, Liam Connor Tuszynski due to the illness; paternal grandfather Charles Robert Andersen in 2010; and maternal grandfather Gerald Cassidy in 2013. The love, generosity and prayers that are and were shown to Stephanie and her family are greatly appreciated during this very difficult time.
