Its is with great sadness that the family of Albert R. Tanner, Jr (Bob) announces his passing on June 13, 2018 at the age of 80. He is preceded in death by his parents , Albert R. Tanner, Sr., and Margret Mosley Tanner. Bob was retired from the US Navy, E8, in which he served tours of duty, in Vietnam, South Pole, Japan and stateside.

In addition he was retired from NAF, Ft. Gordon, Georgia. He worked part time for Securitas/Pinkerton at the Augusta National Golf Course for over 30 years.

He looked forward to the Masters every year and knew the course like the back of his hand. He was a life time member of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Auxiliary. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sandra, and his children Mike (Debbie), Bobby (Susan), Dawn (Jay), Ronnie (Valerie), and Doug (Stacie).

Bob will also be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, brother Ronald (Becky), and nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Fort Jackson, SC National Cemetery in Columbia, SC at 11:00 am with full military honors.
