Alberta M. Gillette, 85, of St. Anne’s Retirement Community, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018. Born in Spencer, NY, she was the daughter of the late Elery and Helen (Zimmer) Struble. Alberta was the wife of Ivan Gillette who passed away January of 2010.

Alberta retired from Physicians Support Group working in data entry. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family. Alberta is survived by three children, Dale Gillette, husband of Linda of Lititz, Diane Hershey, wife of Richard of Mount Joy and Sam Gillette, husband of Peggy of Virginia Beach; nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Baker, wife of Paul of NY and Judy Tavelli, wife of Lloyd of NY; and a brother, Raymond Struble of NY.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Catherine Lis. A memorial service honoring Alberta’s life will be held at the Sheetz Funeral Home, Inc., 16 East Main Street, Mount Joy on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11 AM. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home before the service from 10 AM to 11 AM.

Interment will follow at Silver Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anne’s Retirement Community, Angel Fund, 3952 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA 17512.
