Obituary for Alex Toth Alex Toth, 94, passed away Friday, November 02, 2018 surrounded by his family at St. Peter University Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Mr. Toth was born July 08, 1924 in New Brunswick, NJ to the late Stephen and Mary Toth. He relocated to Somerset, where he was a lifelong resident.
Alex honorably served in the US Navy during World War II in the South Pacific. He enlisted in 1943 and was honorably discharged in 1946. He was a refrigeration engineer for ER Squibb in North Brunswick, where he worked for many years.
Alex was a life member of the East Franklin Fire Department, the HAAC in New Brunswick and was a member of the Brer Rabbit Sportsman Club of Somerset. He was also a member of the USS Iowa Veterans Association and the Magyar Reformed Church in New Brunswick. Alex was a true outdoorsman; he loved to go hunting and to fish.
Mr. Toth was predeceased by his wife, Julia Toth; his brother, Stephen Toth and his sister, Elsie Rampczck. He is survived by his sons, Alex Toth and his wife Linda of Hillsborough and Stephen Toth of Somerset; his grandchildren, Bryan and Sharon and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset, NJ on Wednesday, November 8th from 2-4 P.M. and 6-9 P.M. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 8, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. at Gleason Funeral Home.
Entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum in North Brunswick.
