Alfred Sabin, III, 68, residing in South Bend, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born April 15, 1950 in Grand Rapids, MI; a son of the late Alfred and Dorothy Louise (Bredeweg) Sabin, Jr. On June 29, 2002 in Rochester, IN he was united in marriage to Jennifer Lynn Snyder who survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Angela Sabin of Allegan, MI; his son, Alfred “A.J.” Sabin IV, of Allegan, MI; and eight grandchildren, Wyatt, Levi, Colton, Neely, Thorton, twin girls, Malia, & Leila, and Willow.

Also surviving are two sisters, Joann (Terry) VanEeuwen of Byron Center, MI; and Donna (Dale) Bronsink of Holland, MI; and three brothers, Owen (Carleen) Sabin of Middleville, MI; David (Beth) Sabin of Lowell, MI; and Calvin (Julee) Sabin of Wayland, MI. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter and an infant son. Mr. Sabin was a self-employed carpenter and builder.

He graduated from Wayland High School, and attended Godwin College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was a faithful member of Christian Center Church, where he served as the Director of the Christian Center Food Pantry, and was ordained at the World Harvest Minister Network.

He also served as President of Gideon’s Bible International, and Vision of Praise Ministries. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 28, at Christian Center Church, 530 E. Ireland Road, South Bend, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Rev.

Mark Lantz, pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Marion National Cemetery, Marion, IN. Contributions in memory of Mr. Sabin may be offered to Christian Center Church.
