Kent Arthur Mathews, age 66, of South Bend, IN passed away on Monday December 17, 2018 at his home. Kent was born on May 28, 1952 in South Bend to Jack Arthur and Phyllis Ann Mathews. He graduated from Andrew Jackson High School class of 1970.

Kent is survived by his daughters; Anna Mathews of Mishawaka, Amanda Mathews of Mishawaka, Angela (Jay) Blackford of England and Brenda Susan (Daniel) Knez of North Carolina and his stepsons; Brian (Lillian) O’Hara and Lucas Burger both of South Bend. His grandchildren; Jayden Link, Cameron Link, Kayson Link, Breanna Biggs, Keylee McCullough, Brian O’Hara Jr., Brennan O’Hara and Keiyanna Brown. He is also survived by his brother Jim Mathews of South Bend.

Kent was preceded in death by his parents. Kent retired from Trail master as a truck driver. He also worked at Curtis Products.

He loved his family and he loved fishing. In keeping with Kent’s wishes there will be no services at this time. His family will have a celebration of life service at a later date.
